= Code4Lib 2020 Conference Committees =

Hosting a conference is incredibly complex, and it cannot be done without the help of the entire community. If you are interested in being an awesome person and applying your skills to a particular part of the Code4Lib 2020 conference, create an account on this wiki and sign-up for one or more of the groups below (please provide a contact). Each committee must have a Primary Contact (chair), Secondary Contact (co-chair), and Documentarian (secretary). The role of the Documentarian is to transcribe key information to future conference committees, such as timelines, costs, process, etc. Feel free to improve the summary statements for each of the committees. When adding your name, please indicate 'v' if you are a veteran on the committee so that we ensure committees are not made up entirely of newbies.

We will assign a local contact (LPC) to each committee.

== Logistics ==
=== Venue ===
All sessions will take place in [http://www.lib.umd.edu/mckeldin/directions McKeldin Library] Room 6107, which can be found on [https://www.lib.umd.edu/binaries/content/assets/public/groupvisits/mck-floorplan.pdf this floor plan].

=== Travel ===
The Libraries have posted [http://www.lib.umd.edu/mckeldin/directions driving directions] for getting to campus. In addition, a comprehensive overview of [http://cvs.umd.edu/visitors/maps.html travel options] is available from the campus office of conference and visitor services. Once you have arrived on campus, this [http://cvs.umd.edu/visitors/current_map.pdf campus map] will help you locate the library (D10 - #035 ). There is a [https://www.wmata.com/rider-guide/stations/college-park.cfm College Park metro stop] on the green line, which is served by [http://www.transportation.umd.edu/shuttle/schedules/summer/104_CPM.pdf shuttle bus #104] to campus approximately every 10 minutes.

=== Parking ===
There is ample parking on campus for a daily maximum of $15.00. <del>A covered guest lot that is convenient to the Library is the Regents Drive Garage (#202 on the map mentioned above).</del> There is a large swim event taking place on North Campus which will take over a lot of central and northern guest parking. UMD Department of Transportation Services recommends that attendees arriving by car park in either the Mowatt Lane Garage (rooftop) or Lot MV next to Mowatt Lane Garage ([http://cvs.umd.edu/visitors/current_map.pdf D12 - #404] on the map). Additional parking may be available in the Stadium Drive Garage ([http://cvs.umd.edu/visitors/current_map.pdf C8 - #218]), but this garage may become crowded due to the swim meet. All visitors should avoid attempting to park in the Union Lane Garage off Campus Dr ([http://cvs.umd.edu/visitors/current_map.pdf D9 - #179]) since it is currently out of service and closed to the public.

An alternate parking option is to use the College Park Metro parking lot and to use the [http://www.transportation.umd.edu/shuttle/schedules/summer/104_CPM.pdf University of Maryland shuttle bus #104].

Full information on guest parking options is available on the [http://cvs.umd.edu/visitors/parking.html conference and visitor services site]. *Please note*: parking services is very vigilant and quick to ticket, so please make sure that you pay for your parking space at the pay station (look to the signage in the lots for instructions).

'''Via US-1 (Baltimore Ave)'''

Turn west onto Knox Rd and continue onto Mowatt Ln. Turn right onto Preinkert Dr and Mowatt Ln Garage and Lot MV are on the left.

'''Via MD-193 or Adelphi Rd'''

Turn onto Campus Dr and take the first exit at the roundabout onto Mowatt Ln. Turn left onto Preinkert Dr and Mowatt Ln Garage and Lot MV are on the left.

=== Lodging ===
The [http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/wasum-college-park-marriott-hotel-and-conference-center/ College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, 3501 University Blvd E] is the most convenient lodging to the library, and is within an easy 10 minute walk. Other hotels, including some less expensive options, are located on Route 1 on the other side of campus, 1-2 miles away from the library. This [https://www.google.com/maps/search/hotels/@38.993636,-76.9523935,14.86z/data=!4m8!2m7!3m6!1shotels!2sMcKeldin+Library,+Library+Ln,+College+Park,+MD+20742,+United+States!3s0x89b7c6971d000001:0xdff5c8d2e5ba84fe!4m2!1d-76.945107!2d38.985986?hl=en-US map shows some of the nearby options].
