Shoshana Zuboff is a retired professor from the Harvard Business School, and is "a scholar, writer, and activist" and "is the author of three major books, each signaling a new epoch in technological society. Her most recent work, The Age of Surveillance Capitalism: The Fight for a Human Future at the New Frontier of Power (2019), synthesizes her decades of research and thinking to reveal a new economic era in which once private human experience is secretly invaded, extracted as data, and exploited for hidden processes of manufacturing, prediction, and sales."
