"Karen Sandler is the executive director of the Software Freedom Conservancy, former executive director of the GNOME Foundation, an attorney, and former general counsel of the Software Freedom Law Center." Noble is a Senior Manager for Product Management and Software at OpenARCloud where he advises on Data Governance, Data Privacy, Data Trust to teams across 55 countries. He's also a Google Developers Expert for product strategy and a recovering startup founder delivering augmented reality, virtual reality, web and mobile technologies from abstract concepts to final products. Noble sits on the Alumni Leadership Board for the leading online education startup, Udacity. A member of the Alumni Board at his alma mater, Lynchburg College and acts as the Publicity Chair for Ubicomp and ISWC, two top-tier conferences for the internet of things and wearable technology. == Keith Webster ==
Keith Webster is the Dean of Carnegie Mellon University Libraries and the Director of Emerging and Integrative Media Initiatives at CMU. He also has a courtesy academic appointment at the University’s H. John Heinz III College. He is a Chartered Fellow and an Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (UK), and has served on government advisory boards, journal editorial boards, and as an officer in professional and learned societies around the world. He is currently Chair of the National Information Standards Organization.
Previously, Keith served as Vice President and Director of Academic Relations and Strategy for the global publishing company John Wiley and Sons. He was formerly Dean of Libraries and University Librarian at the University of Queensland in Australia, Earlier positions include University Librarian at Victoria University in New Zealand, Head of Information Policy at HM Treasury, London, and Director of Information Services at the School of Oriental & African Studies, University of London. Keith has held professorships in information science at Victoria University of Wellington and City University, London.
Keith’s professional interests include research evaluation, learning space design, and examining trends in scholarly communication. He is an engaging speaker who is well-known for his keynotes and other presentations on the future of research libraries and the impact of the open science movement on publishing and libraries.
