BIO

I hold a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Automatic Control from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. I have more than 8 years’ work experience as a Senior Software Engineer with Bibliotheca Alexandrina (The new Library of Alexandria).

As a member of Digitization and Institutional Repository development team, I participated in building the Digital Assets Repository (DAR) which is a state-of-art repository that embraces OAIS, Fedora-Common, Handle, RDF, 4Store, OAI-PMH, Solr, Marc21, Mets and MOD. Moreover, I was key developer in building the Digitization workflow management system (DAFv2), the system that attends to digitization process tiny details as well as the large ones.
