In France, over the last 3 years, we've developed an etd portal which gives access to more than 66.000 PhD students thesis projects and more than 10.500 defended theses, 8.000 being available in open access.
The presentation will describe the milestones of this projectbuilt up with java, xml, relational database and solr, how the french universities deposit their etd files and how the data are archived and disseminated throughout the web.
